Privacy Policy

YouTube Outlier Tracker ("the extension") is a Chrome extension that helps YouTube Shorts creators discover high-performing videos in their niche. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we protect it.

What we collect

• Google account identity (email + user ID) — used to sign you in via Supabase Auth. We never receive your Google password.
• YouTube channel + video metadata you look at— public stats (views, subscriber counts, publish dates) fetched from YouTube's public API. We cache results to reduce API calls.
• Your saved folders and saved video references— what you explicitly save via "Save to folder". Stored in your private Supabase row.
• Billing identifiers (if you subscribe to Pro) — your LemonSqueezy subscription ID and customer ID. We do not see or store your card details; those live with LemonSqueezy.
• Rate-limit counters — how many distinct channels you looked up today. Stored in our cache (Upstash Redis) and reset nightly.

What we do NOT collect

• Your YouTube watch history beyond what you explicitly look at.
• Any data from non-YouTube tabs.
• Keystrokes, screen contents, or background browsing.
• Payment card information — handled entirely by LemonSqueezy (our merchant of record).

How your data is protected

Your saved folders and account info live in Supabase under row-level security policies — other users cannot read your data. Server-side keys (Supabase service role, YouTube API key) live only in our hosting environment and never reach the extension bundle.

Third parties

• Google (YouTube Data API) — public video and channel stats.
• Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
• Vercel — backend hosting and edge cache.
• Upstash — Redis cache for rate-limit counters and API response caching.
• LemonSqueezy — subscription billing (Merchant of Record).

Your rights

You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing the contact address below. We will remove your profile row, swipe folders, and any cached rate-limit counters within 30 days.
